Here we are again, Christian Rodriguez is fighting a grappling prospect and is a big underdog. We saw it in the Chiwiwi fight and we saw it in the Isaac Dulgarian fight. The common denominator in those fight though are that both of them guys gassed and gave the fight away. It appears as though Austin is different. He seemingly has plenty of cardio and in his 13 wins he has 5 decisions. He is also a much better striker than both Raul Rosas and Isaac Dulagarian which means Ceerod will have to worry about not only the wrestling but also the striking. Austin is the pick, but damnit, if Christian pulls this off they really need to make a prospect killer belt.

Austin Bashi

Austin Bashi is a major prospect. He is only 23 years old but is 13-0 with a wide array of wins. He has very good striking, very good grappling and all around very solid. He is definitely a better grappler than striker with very real takedowns. He has no problem shooting open mat takedowns and then reshooting if he missed it. As soon as he is tied up he is working for a takedown but has no problem pivoting to a submission if the opportunity is there.

Christian Rodriguez

Christian Rodriguez is a slick striker with solid movement and good speed. He has decent takedown defense at 65% but has been taken down 21 times so far in the UFC. At 135lbs he was a bit of a prospect buster with 3 wins in a row over 3 prospects. Each one of those wins had some level of controversy whether it was a weight miss or bad judging so he was forced to 145lbs where he was taken down and submitted by veteran Julian Erosa.
