I was shocked when I saw that Cesar was only a -235 favorite. I get that Abdul looked great in his last fight, but that was literally 37 seconds. You can't take a 39 year old man's success in a sub 1 minute fight to set odds. What you can do though is look at the fact that Abdul has great Judo and Cesar can struggle with takedown defense. If you think Abdul goes all in on the wrestling, like he did when he fought Buckley, then he is a great dog. I however don't think he wil have that same success. Cesar is a high level kickboxer who should control the striking long enough to force bad shots from Abdul. Before you cry in the comments that Kopylov out wrestled him, just a reminder, Kopylov is also an incredible striker which is how he set up the takedowns to begin with. Cesar is the pick and I do not expect these odds to last much longer.
Abdul Razak Alhassan
Abdul Razak Al Hassan is a powerful striker who tends to head hunt while looking for a knockout. He is actually a high level judo practitioner that fell in love with his striking and power. He's an incredibly talented guy but doesn't always use all of his tools. He is coming off the no contest with Cody Brundage where he looked phenomenal before a couple of shots to the back of the head.
Cesar Almeida
Cesar Almeida is a big time professional kickboxer who has had success at the highest levels including beating Alex Pereira. He does everything you expect a high level kickboxer to do. He has clean combinations, big power, good work and is very dangerous every second the fight remains standing. His takedown defense in the middle of the cage is non existent, but he can defend well against the cage. If he is taken down has does a nice job scooting to the cage and working back up. He is coming off the win over Ihor Poteira where he was measured and controlled despite 4 eye pokes and a nut shot
