There are definitely some questions about Wang's takedown defense because it hasn't really been tested. But I don't Gabriella is going to be the one to test it. Wang should smoke here, her power is nuts and after she lands a few shots Gabriella will get desperate, shoot shitty takedowns and get finished. Wang is the pick here and is one of my more confident ones on the card.

Cong Wang

Cong Wang is a professional kickboxer who made the leap to MMA. It doesn't take a whole lot of research to find tape of her fighting and beating Valentina Shevchenko in kickboxing. She fights exactly how you would expect a decorated kickboxer to fight. She has incredible stirking with power and speed and can defend takedowns. She hasn't fought a non-stop wrestler yet in MMA so she is relatively untested in that department. She is coming off the big time KO win over Victoria Leonardo

Gabriella Fernandes

Gabriella Fernandes is a powerful striker. She is big, strong, fast and technical. She has very solid striking and solid BJJ as well. Her takedown defense is ok but it is mostly her being bigger and stronger and less about her using the right techniques. She has solid BJJ and can work well off her back but she does end up giving up control time. She can offensively grapple as well and we saw a bit of that in her last fight. She is coming a close win over Carli Judice where she had 2 takedowns.
