Picking against Jim Miller, even in his advanced age, isn't an easy decision. He is a dog with no quit in him at all. But I'm still going to do it. Damon has showed striking improvements and we know he can wrestle. Jim's Black Belt is impressive, but it's old. BJJ, like every other sport, has evolved. Gone are the days where having a blackbelt would strike fear into anyones eyes. I think Damon hangs in the striking, gets the takedowns and cruises on top. I don't think he will ever be in any danger on the ground and I've thrown a half a unit on him at -115.
Jim Miller
Jim Miller is a legend who has multiple records in the UFC for longevity. He is the only fighter to have fought at UFC 100, 200 and 300. He is a very good grappler with clean boxing and ok wrestling. He has all the veteran savvy, toughness and grit you could ever want from a fighter. He is definitley starting to show his age but continues to defy it in the Octagon. He wil always show up on weight, ready to go, but he may need a walker heading into this one at 41. He is coming off the one sided loss to Bobby Green at UFC 300.
Damon Jackson
Damon Jackson is a very good grappler who snatches things up in scrambles. He is willing to slug it out on his feet which he uses to set up his takedowns. He doesn't typically have much power but he does land some heavy shots and immediately look to wrestle. He has a low takedown accuracy, but as his nickname would imply, he has solid control when he gets there. He is coming off the tough loss to Chepe Marsical where he showed his toughness but the pressure was too much.
