Brandon Moreno vs. Amir Albazi
MORENO VS ALBAZI

I get Brandon being the favorite here. Not only is he a dog, he is the former world champion and has been fighting the upper echelon of the division for 5 years. But he is also coming off one of his worst performances. Yes, a lot of people think he did enough to beat Royval and maybe he did, but the point is that he looked flat, he didn't look like himself. Losing the belt seems to have taken something from him. If he shows up flat in this fight, I think Albazi can time the takedowns well and squeak one out. I love Brandon as a fighter, but am going to pick Amir Alabazi here to pull off the upset, i just wish he was more active so it wasn't a guessing game every year when he shows back up.

Brandon Moreno

Brandon Moreno is is an absolute dog and a ton of fun to watch. He is very tough, has a great chin, and puts on a nonstop pace. He averages almost 2 takedowns per fight and mixes things up well. His biggest asset is definitely his pace and his will to win. He will continue to come forward and stay busy regardless of whats happening. He is coming off back to back split decision losses. Most recently to Brandon Royval where he looked slow, only threw one punch at a time and seemed flat overall.

Amir Albazi

Amir Albazi is a legit prospect with solid grappling, solid striking and a high pace. He has a very comfortable striking style where he is light on his toes and bounces in and out with a long jab. The fact that he is light on his toes allows him to very quickly lower his level and snatch up a leg. On the ground he is a very slick grappler and isn't just a wrestler looking for control. He will take risks, roll for positions and snatch things up. He is coming off the questionable decision win over KKF where his strikes were doubled and so were his takedowns.
