I'm not a Garrett Armfield fan and I don't even know why. I assume it's the constant desire to be a meme on Twitter. Either way, his skills need to be noted. He has power with knockdowns in half of his UFC fights and plenty of volume. Serhiy gets dropped and could lose a decision here the same way he did in his last fight. I am still going to pick him because i don't think Garrett is durable enough to survive what Serhiy can send his way, but this will likely be a fun fight and a nail biter of you're on the Sidey side.
Serhiy Sidey
Serhiy Sidey is a tall and long striker who can grapple as well. He is a powerful guy who despite being so tall and long, doesn't really use that range on his feet. He likes to plot forward, keep the jab in your face and then throw big when he sees the opening. He can be taken down and he can get his legs chopped, but even when he is take down he has solid enough BJJ off his back to pull of the win. He is shockingly chinny, but very tough. He is coming off the close loss to Ramon Tavares where he had the striking volume but was dropped.
Garrett Armfield
Garrett Armfield is a technical striker who doubles up his jab and switches his stance well. He is always working forward but stays controlled and doesn't take too many risks. He does a good job kicking the legs before coming up top. He has solid takedown defense and while he doesn't typically look for offensive takedowns, when he does he has clean power and works them in well. He is coming off the come ahead loss to Brady Hiestand where he dropped him but ultimately was bullied to the ground and submitted.
