Right now Bruno is a tiny underdog at +105 and that seems right. He should get some credit for being a UFC veteran who has fought multiple world champions. But he should also be seen for who he is today which is just a shell of himself. Ismail is a bit unreliable as a whole but I think he wins this fight. I think he comes forward, throws hard and gets the win. Not sure I am confident enough to bet on it, but do think he puts the nail in the coffin of Bruno Silva's career.
Bruno Silva
Bruno Silva is a heavy handed striker with solid BJJ. He can absolutely knock your head off at any moment or even implement a grapple heavy gameplan. Although he has great hands and hits like a truck, he can also be hittable himself and has a negative striking differential. His performances are hot and cold which makes him unreliable but he did look ok in his recent loss to prospect Chris Weidman before the notable double eye poke.
Ismail Naurdiev
Ismail Naurdiev may seem like a new name to you but this is actually his second crack at the UFC. His first stint was from 2019 to 2020 when he went 2-2. Since then he has gone an incredible 4-3 to make his UFC return undeniable (this is sarcasm). He bounces between welterweight and middleweight and seems to have more succes at the higher weightclass. Style wise he is an agressive striker and solid grappler. He has competed as a kickboxer and a wrestler but for some reason seems to struggle putting it all together inside a cage.
