Cameron Smotherman vs. Jake Haldey
SMOTHERMAN VS HADLEY

When Jake was fighting Brady Hiestand, I assumed Brady would come in, be a bully and get the win. But now he's fighting a normal sized striker and I think this is a great matchup for Jake. Jake should be able to dictate the pace and avoid trouble on the feet. If Cameron is faster than anticipated, then Jake can quickly work in the wrestling and be far superior on the ground. Jake is the pick and as soon as odds drop, I will likely have some action on this fight.

Cameron Smotherman

Cameron Smotherman is stepping up on short notice for another crack at the UFC. He had a failed Contender Series bid a little over a year ago but has put together 3 wins since. Style wise he is a patient and accurate striker who will throw in combinations. He isn't particularly busy but he manages striking distance well. His takedown defense is ok, but if he ends up on the ground he doesn't have much to offer.

Jake Hadley

Jake Hadley is a striker who rounds himself out with slick BJJ. He has solid boxing and timing on his feet, then decent takedowns and aggressive BJJ on the ground. Hadley is a very good fighter with titles in multiple regional promotions. He can strike, he can grapple and he can stick to a high pace for 15 full minutes. He is coming off the upset win over Coalan Loughran where he had the striking volume and stayed off the cage well.
