I'll start this pick off by saying I am a sucker for Cory McKenna. Not in a weird simp way, but in a I think she's, gorgeous and amazing… no i'm kidding. I love her fighting style. She's aggressive, busy, not afraid to strike or grapple. Tons of pressure and willing to engage. The decision making is questionable, like shooting takedowns against a world champion grappler in her last fight, but I still think I am riding with her here. Julia can be taken down and we just watched her get dotted up on the feet. If Cory comes in with the same confidence she normally does and the same aggression, she can definitely win this fight. She will be the slight lean of a pick, but bet will be +3.5 if we are lucky enough to get that line.
Cory McKenna
Cory McKenna is a very well rounded fighter and a ton of fun to watch. She literally does everything. She will march forward throwing 1,2s then back away and stay out of the pocket and throw superman punches or head kicks to get in. When she grapples she decent entries and will either run through or even slam. She can be hittable and needs to clean some things up, but she is so tough and so busy that she makes it work. She is coming off the very quick submission loss to Jacqueline Amorim where she got the takedown and submitted instantly.
Julia Polastri
Julia Polastri is a very well rounded fighter who has slick striking and solid grappling. Her striking technique is clean with plenty of straight punches and kicks. She has power for the division but doesn't chase. She does get taken down pretty easily but when she is on the ground she has solid BJJ and will hunt for submissions. She just ended a 4 fight win streak with a decision loss to Josefine Knuttson where the striking and range were too much, but the wrestling looked fantastic.
