When this fight was first announced, there were odds flying around that had Junior as a +400 underdog. When i saw that i immediately sprinted to BetOnline and was going to hammer it. Well, to my chagrin, Junior was a -270. So either that line that was floating around was a glitch, or it lasted all of 5 seconds. Junior should win here. I don't think Chris' athleticism is enough to get him past the actual technique of Tafa. The range and power will be too much, let's just hope he doesn't get taken down.
Chris Barnett
Chris Barnett doesn't look like it but he is very athletic and shockingly dynamic. Chris has very real power and will manage to land strikes even though he almost always has the shorter reach. He hasn't taken his career too seriously in the past and while he had flashes of dedication, he seems to be back to his old ways. The issue with Chris is while he is powerful and athletic, he doesn't handle pressure well. If he doesn't take over early with raw talent, he doesn't win fights. He is coming back after 2 full years away.
Junior Tafa
Junior Tafa is a nasty kickboxer with power, footwork and a willingness to engage. He is Justin Tafa's younger brother but built very differently. He is long and lean instead of short and stocky. He has the same power, the same chin, but is faster, more athletic and much more technical. The problem is that his takedown defense lacks and there is an obvious hole to exploit. He is coming off the submission loss to Valter Walker where he screamed, but technically didn't tap.
