This fight is brand new and I have to imagine, short notice for both of these guys. Vince thankful for the second shot at the UFC and Taylor gets to fight at home. I imagine this fight is Vince looking for an early finish, not getting it and then Taylor running laps around him the rest of the fight. I am very confident in Taylor here but lets just hope Vince doesn't come back with the same glow up that Yousseff had when he left the UFC.
Taylor Lapilus
Taylor Lapilus is a fantastic kickboxer with incredible footwork. He does a very good job working in and out of range. He comes in for his attacks, throws a comination and strikes his way out, by the time his opponents throw their own strikes back, Taylor is out of the pocket. Taking Taylor down is definitely the path to victory but won't be the easiest thing to do, he does well defending the actual takedown instead of throwing meaningless strikes. He is coming off the bounceback win over Cody Stamann where the striking volume was there and so was the takedown defense.
Vince Morales
Vince Morales is a decent striker with ok boxing but makes up for any technical gaps with forward pressure and volume. He is always moving and always working something. He has legit power in his hands but he does tend to go to it often and can fizzle out if he doesn't find the finish. He was cut by the UFC in 2022 but has racked up 5 wins and 5 finishes on the region scene since then.
