Stewart Nicoll is a 2-1 favorite and shouldn't be. Yes, i think he wins here, but Jesus is by far the best opponent Stewart has ever had and he isn't a bum on the ground. The only reason I am actually leaning Nicoll here is because he can get the takedowns and Jesus' takedown defense kinda sucks. This fight has trap written all over and I would avoid it all costs. Even the round lean an be a trap – 2 finishers who could end up in grappling exchanges to a decision. i saw avoid this fight but I will ever so slightly lean Nicoll because of the wrestling advantage
Stewart Nicoll
Steward Nicoll is is a decent wrestler and slick grappler. When he takes you down he has solid control and is always working. He is looking for positions, landing strikes and staying busy. He is a strong guy and uses that strength well. his striking is a bit stiff, but he has nice leg kicks and isn't afraid to exchange. You're going to see a bunch of KOs on his record, but they are pretty much ground and pound finishes.
Jesus Aguilar
Jesus Aguilar is a solid grappler who has a nack for finding guillotines. He has 10 wins with 7 stoppages and 4 of those are guillotine chokes. His guillotines are interesting because they aren't coming off of his opponents shots, he sets them up and looks for them. He can strike as well with solid combinations and what seems like decent power. He's a bit wild, but very active and very fun to watch. He is coming off the off the insanely low volume win over Mateus Mendonca where he was taken down 4 times and only landed 19 strikes
