Listen, Javid should win here. He's the better fighter. but he was also the better fighter in his last matchup and he blew it. If Javid comes in with the same wrestle heavy gameplan he had against Mendonca, then I love this fight for him. But is he comes in looking like he did against Aimann, throwing one punch at a time and not wrestling, he may lose again. Javid is the pick and hopefully he learned from that loss, but I'm like a woman scorned and I am holding a grudge for the busted Safety Parlay.
Javid Basharat
Javit Basharat is a grappler who has incredible offensive and defensive wrestling. He has absolutely no problems with a kickboxing match either and is landing almost 6 signifigant strikes per minute and being hit with fewer than 2. We have seen him out grapple and out strike his opponents with little resistence. He is coming off the controversial loss to Aimann Zahabi where he controlled the cage but was only throwing one punch at a time.
Chris Gutierrez
Chris Gutirrez is a good kickboxer with great low kicks and cage control. He has good volume at more than 5 significant strikes landed per minute and solid cardio to keep the pace. There are no secrets as to what his gameplan is. He wants to plot forward with leg kicks to slow you down and then straight punches to try and put you out. He has good takedown defense at 69% which allows him to be loose on his feet. He is coming off the close loss to Song Yadong where he was winning the strikign exchanges but was getting taken down
