Remember last time Sam Patterson was a massive favorite? I do, i bet against him and he got absolutely smoked. Here we are again, Sam Patterson is a massive favorite against a guy who hits like a train. Kiefer Crosbie is not very good, but he certainly hits hard and has a ton of pressure early. Sam Patterson is actually pretty good, but striking pressure can get to him and we know he can get KO'd. I'm going to pick him Sam win because he's the better fighter and I think he is smart enough to know he should wrestle early but no one should be betting Sam Patterson here, no one.
Sam Patterson
Sam Patterson is a very tall and long striker. He is an insane 6'4 and while he does not use his length well striking, he does use it really well on the ground. On his feet he has accurate boxing and because he is so long can have some power as well. His takedown defense needs work but as I mentioned, he uses his length very well on the ground and is contantly wrapping something up and looking for a submission. He is coming off the submission win over Yohan Lianesse back in January.
Keifer Crosbie
Kiefer Crosbie is an aggressive striker who comes forward and lets his hands go. He sets a nice pace early and will adjust mid fight. He has great power but does get wild. Considering he has a lot of striking experience, his defense is a bit disapointing, but his offense and definitely something to worry about. He is not a grappler by trade, but he will work in takedowns when needed and can hang in the grappling. He is coming off a submission loss to Kevin Jousett in his UFC debut
