My instant reaction here was that Cody wins and its easy. Then I dig a little deeper, see both of their recent struggles and its a much closer fight than I thought. Brian is likely in his last UFC fight and will go out there to put on a show. Cody has struggled to find his footing in the UFC, but is very much focused on getting wins and building a career. Cody will be the pick because of his length, cardio and pressure, but I will likely sit this out with the betting.
Brian Kelleher
Brian Kelleher is a few years past his prime and 2 years removed from his last win. He is a well rounded guy with clean boxing, decent power, good grappling and a great pace. He is very fun to watch and always looks for a finish. You can look at his record and assume that he is a journeyman, but the reality is that he is a good fighter who really only looses to the better guys in the division or dominant wrestlers. He is on a 3 fight skid but they are 3 quality losses over a former champion and two top ranked bantamweights
Cody Gibson
Cody Gibson is also a few fights removed from a win. He is a solid striker who uses his length well. He is very long and can be very busy in exchanges. He uses his length to setup strikes and defend takedowns. He primarily a striker though and if you do take him down you can have some success holding him there. He is coming off the hard fought loss to Miles Johns where the wrestling was the difference.
