Mayra Bueno Silva vs. Macy Chiasson
SILVA VS CHIASSON

In theory Mayra should run away with this. She is powerful, a good wrestler and has the better resume. But this new grappling gameplan from Macy is interesting. Holly Holm had success holding Myra against the cage and so did Raquel. It won't take much for the much longer fighter in Macy to close the distance and keep Mayre against the cage with a takedown or two mixed in. Myra is more than a 2-1 favorite here and I am going with the dog. But in all likelihood this fight is absolutely horrible and its crazy its on the main card – I'm not even saying that as a slight to women's MMA. I am saying that because stylistically we are going to get cage wrestling for 15 minutes.

Mayra Bueno Silva

Mayra Bueno Silva is a pretty good striker with solid power and good kicks. She likes charging forward and throwing from there. She's a very good grappler as well but like so many others, the problem is she doesn't have very good wrestling so even if she wants to get it to the ground to grapple, she may not be able to. She is one of the more dangerous women in the division especially on the ground. She is coming off the title fight loss to Raquel Pennington where she only gave up one actual takedown, but did give up 12 minutes of control time against the cage

Macy Chiasson

Macy Chiasson is tall and long and she uses that length really well to jab you up and work her Muay Thai striking. She has a positive striking differential and ok power. If you get past her length you can have success staying in her face. But when she can keep distance she is very good and technical. She has added grappling to her gameplan which is an entirely new wrinkle. She took down Norma Dumont 6 times in that win and most recently Pannie Kianzad twice before a first round submission.
