Phil Rowe vs. Jake Matthews
ROWE VS MATTHEWS

This is tough. I think Phil Rowe is the better fighter here, he is certainly the better striker, but his fight IQ is extra chromosome bad. Clinching with Neil Magny when he was winning the striking is borderline unforgivable. Can we trust him to here? Can we trust him to use his range and footwork to piece up Jake? I have no clue, which makes this so difficult. Jake certainly has one punch power and wrestling but he's not the better fighter. I am going to pick the better fighter in Phil Rowe, but I hate it. Don't be the cheese pocket tht hears this, bets everything on Rowe and then complains to me when he loses.

Phil Rowe

Philip Rowe is long and high volume striker who does a great job using his length and range. His ground game is fantatastic but his wrestling needs a lot of work. Despite managing range well, he can be a bit hittable and he does have a negative striking differential. He is coming off the frustrating loss to Neil Magny where he was winning the striking exchanges but would grapple for no reason.

Jake Matthews

Jake Mathews is a well rounded guy withs solid wrestling, very good grappling and a nice variety of strikes. He works angles well and has no problem mixing up body shots and head shots. He averages almost 2 takedowns per fight. He has a solid striking differential at 3-2 and very real power in his hands. He is coming off the decision loss to Michael Morales where he only attempted one takedown.
