Yizha vs. Westin Wilson

YIZHA VS WILSON

Here's the reality of this fight. Neither one of them is very good. They are both BJJ nerds who lack in almost all other areas of MMA. To Westin's credit, his UFC losses are high quality but his win is horrible. The fact that we have a -1400 favorite here is up there with 9/11 on the atrocity scale. I am going to pick Yizha because of how ridiculously tough he is, but if you are gambling on this fight, you have actual issues.

Yizha

Yizha is a powerful grappler who uses kicks to manage range and then works in close to get his hands on you and drag you to the ground. He is very strong and does a good job elevating his opponents. If he gets you to the ground he is constantly looking for submission but he does struggle maintaining position. If you look at his stats he averages around 4 takedowns per fight, but thats because as he's looking for submissions, his opponents stand up and he has to work again. He is coming off the loss to Gabriel Santos where it was clear that he cannot hang in the striking, but that he is insanely tough.

Westin Wilson

Westin Wilson is a karate style striker who has low hands and a lot of in and out movement. He can be a bit too hesitant and hittable, but when he hits his flow he likes to rush forward and throw heavy. He is very tall for the weight class and uses his length well on the ground. He doesn't have the best wrestling, but is dangerous on the ground because of his length. He is coming off his first UFC win where his length was beneficial but its still obvious he is not a good fighter.
