I don't know a single person who doesn't say “I love Derrick lewis” and then immediately talk about their genitals. Waldo is a 3-1 favorite right now and while I want to railroad that, it's hard to. Waldo is the better athlete and has a granite chin. Derrek's only path in this fight is the exact same path he has in every fight, which is land clean. The difference though is that Waldo's chin might be the heavyweight reincarnation of Marvin Vettori's. So if Derrick can't knock him out, then what? I expect Waldo to land more shots, land cleaner shots and ultimately win this fight. So Waldo is the pick and these odds are probably correct. I started by saying everyone loves Derrick, which is an objective fact, unless you're Ronda Rousey's husband, I just think the UFC need to feed him fun fights he can win and stop pretending he can get to a title or build young prospects.

Waldo Cortes-Acosta is a fun athletic striker who is tough as nails with real power. Derrick Lewis

Derrick Lewis is the KO king. He literally has more knockouts than anyone else in UFC history. But as we know by now, thats all he has. He is the most single threaded fighter in this division. He has incredible power but very low output. He can be taken down but literally just stands right back up. He's a powerhouse that is never out of a fight, but rarely in them. You never see him dominating a fight. It is literally him losing before the big punch or nothing at all before the big punch. And in traditional Derrick Lewish fashion, he is coming off the KO win over touted prospect, Tallison Teixeira.
