Viacheslav Borshchev vs. Matheus Camilo

BORSHCHEV VS CAMILO

At this point I think we can say Viacheslav is full washed. He was never that good and has a 4-5-1 record in the UFC, but he did have flashed of incredible striking and potential. But despite being at Team Alpha Male, a gym known for its wrestling, he never quite got the takedown defense he needed to achieve any real success. Now he's older, chinny and past any real viability in this division. This is a short notice fight for both of them, but I am leaning Camilo here and am pretty confident in that. I have a half unit bet on him at -155 and the only reason it isn't a whole unit is bevuse of the short notice.

Viacheslav Borshchev

Viacheslav Borshchev is a fantastic striker with a legitimate professional kickboxing career before transitioning to MMA. He has a great jab, solid power and fantastic kicks. He has a low 42% takedown defense and has been taken down 31 times in 9 UFC fights. He was most recently taken down by Terrance McKinney and then subbed in under 1 minute.

Matheus Camilo

Matheus Camilo is an aggressive guy who can strike and grapple. He has plenty of power, plenty of cardio, a good chin and a whole bag full of submissions. He will plot forward, let his hands fly and embrase the chaos. He will embrace the chaos on the ground as well and give up positions to chase submissions which is actually what led to his loss to Gabe Green. He's coming off that loss where he looked good early, had a nice takedown and was on top before rolling to his back for a triangle and then getting submitted.
