Chris Duncan is a fighter who more often than not, I pick wrong. I typically pick against him because I genuinely feel his opponents are more skilled. Then the fight happens and even if I cam correct in my assessment of his opponent's skills, Chris is just such a dog that he survives, continues to press forward and wins. He is insanely fun to watch and is matched up with someone who is also insanely fun to watch. These guys are almost polar opposites though, where Duncan isn't the most technical guy but is so durable he can make up for it, McKinney is very technical and unbelievably talented, but not durable at all. I have zero doubt whatsoever that Terrance McKinney will beat the absolute shit out of Chris Duncan early, the problem is I have tons of doubt as to what happens after that. If Chris survives he will absolutely take over. I am going to fall into my old trap and pick Terrance here because of the wrestling gap, but the real tragedy will be if he wins and somehow doesn't get a fight of the night bonus.
Terrance McKinney
Terrence McKinney is incredibly talented with solid hands, solid wrestling and solid BJJ. We have said this many times, but if Terrance McKinney had cardio and a chin, he would be undefeated. Because he has every single tool you would want as fighter but he does gas and if he gets cracked, his chin does give out. He is a feast or famine fighter with 12 fights in the UFC and 12 fights that never saw the third round. Most recently he instantly took down and submitted Slava Claus.
Chris Duncan
Chris Duncan is a heavy handed tough as nails striker who is never out of a fight. We have seen him on more than once occasion be dropped just to recover and win. Style wise he is an accurate striker with low hands, lots of power and a willingness to bang. He will grapple as well, he has 14 takedowns in 7 fights but can struggle with control and takedown defense. He is coming off the decision win over Mateusz Rebecki where the damage was the difference.
