This should be a Tereza win, but I hate the layoff. More than 2 years away because of a litany of injuries and staff infections isn't great. Especially in a matchup against someone as tough Horth. We will need Bleda to have a full 15 minutes of cardio so she can get the wrestling going. I will pick Bleda here because of the wrestling gap, but I don't love it, most WMMA fights come down to who is tougher and theres no denying how tough Horth is. Bleda is the pick, we haven't seen her fight in 2 years, we need her to wrestle and we will not bet this fight.
Tereza Bleda
Tereza Bleda is a determined grappler who will come forward and work for the takedown. She isn't just a desperate grappler though, she will stand tall and strike while moving forward, but as soon as you are comfortable and throw a kick or cut a bad angle, it will be caught and she will get you down. She has great control on top and is methodical. While she's a very good grappler, she is much more dangerous on top than bottom. She is coming back after a 2+ year layoff with her last fight being a decision win over Gabrielle Fernandes where she had 11 minutes of control.
Jamey-Lyn Horth
Jamey-Lyn Horth is a striker with solid accuracy and power. She moves well and mixes up various kickboxing techniques while pressuring. She has high fight IQ and follows a gameplan well. Her takedown defense however is not great in the open mat, but is solid against the cage. If she does get taken down she works her way back up well. She is coming off the bounceback win over Vanessa Demopoulos where she got her offensive wrestling and volume going.
