This is pretty straight forward. Jhonata is the better and more powerful striker. Tanner’s chin is starting to go and he doesn’t wrestle which means he won’t even give himself a chance here. For added context, Tanner has 11 UFC fights and only single takedown attempt and that was in his last after when he was basically knocked out. I actually suspect that Tanner will look ok early because of the athleticism, but it won’t take long before Jhanata connects and gets him out of there.
Tanner Boser
Tanner Boser is an on again off again ufc heavyweight. He started his UFC career at heavyweight in 2019, then dropped down to light heavyweight in 2023, then got cut, then got rehired a few years later back at heavyweight. That whole journey was basically to say, he decent, not great. He has solid hands and very real power. He’s is athletic for a heavyweight but on the small side and has trouble with the larger guys. He has a solid striking differential which is important because he has no takedowns an no chin. He is coming off the JO loss to Gokhan Saricam where he looked good ealry but was ultimately KOd.
Jhonata Diniz
Jhonata Diniz is a very good striker with clean technique and incredible power. He throws in combinations, has clean defense, great speed for his size and professional kickboxing experience. His takedown defense is ok but the concerning part is if he does get taken down, he’s essentially clueless. He is only 9-2 but he does have 7 stoppages. He is coming off the ground and pound loss to Mario Pinto.
