Julia is a good fighter and probably the better fighter here, but her takedown defense stinks. The issue though is that Talita's takedowns also stink, so we really need to determine which stinks worse. We have expired milk vs a baby diaper left in the sun. I will take the expired milk because I'm pretty sure thats how you make cheese. In this metaphor, Talita is expired milk because thats the name of some back woods redneck that would do such a thing. Seriously though, the gap on the ground is pretty wide so I'll take the dog who is live for a sub, but obviously Julia's durability and cardio can be an issue if Talita doesn't get her out of there.
Talita Alencar
Talita Alencar is an accomplished grappler who comes out guns blazing, chasing takedowns and looking to get it to the ground immediately. Once she gets it to the ground she is very busy with her striking and goes there first before looking for a submission. Even though she is a very accomplished grappler, she is mostly looking for control and not chasing submissions. Her takedowns aren't great and she relies on strength to get it to the ground. Her striking is not very good and if she can't get a takedown, she will always be at a disadvantage. She is coming off the submission win over Ariane Carnelosi where he hated the pressure.
Julia Polastri
Julia Polastri is a very well rounded fighter who has slick striking and soid grappling. Her striking technique is clean with plenty of straight punches and kicks. She has power for the division but doesn't chase. She does get taken down pretty easily but when she is on the ground she has solid BJJ and will hunt for submissions. She is coming off the KO win over Karolin Kowalkeiwicz
