This is actually Otari's second time in the Apex, his first was a contender series fight almost 2 years where he lost a close decision. a lot of people think he won that fight, but the reality is that he backed up too much. He only rushed in to land a strike or two and then was out. The rest of the fight was him backing up or shooting takedowns without damage. I think Otari is probably the better fighter in this matchup, I think he is the better wrestler and the more technical striker, but if he didn't like Musasi's pressure in his Contender Series fight, he will hate Shane's pressure here as well. I have to pick Shane based of the aggression but this could be a fun scrap and is a hard one to be confident in.
Shane Collins
Shane Collns is a young prospect with slick grappling and aggressive ground and pound. He will walk you down on the feet and fire away before lowering his level and shitting right through you. His striking isn't the cleanest, but he has great pressure and throws with intent. He does a nice job mixing up the strikes that he uses and works both the body and the head. Once he gets you to the ground he keeps that pressure and constantly strikes while maintainng position. He's fun, athletic and fast, but relatively untested so far.
Otari Tanzilovi
Otari Tanzilovi is a Georgian wrestler who has solid power in his hands. He actually started his carrer as a kickboxer then transitioned to MMA. He likes to fight tall and at range on his feet before fully committing to wrestling. He does this by throwing a lot of kicks or long jabs. He is not a pocket fighter and does try to avoid a brawl but can be a bad look with the judges because he isn't typically moving forward. His career has been pretty inconsistant with long layoffs, but he is certainly a talented guy.
