You could take my breakdown of Dawson vs Rebecki and just copy/paste it here. Either Sean Brady crotch sniffs his way to a win, or Buckley sends his chin into the stratosphere. People are going to say “Usman just took down Buckley 4 times so Brady can do the same” and while i agree with the overall sentiment, this is more complicated than that. That was a 25 minute, Buckley defended 9 takedowns and landed more significant strikes despite giving up 13 minutes of control time. Usman is also a threat on the feet which allows him to hide his takedowns better. I love this fight for the division and am very interested to see how it goes, but I have to pick Buckley here. i think he is just way too dangerous on the feet and as we saw in his last fight, has solid takedown defense and doesn't mentally shut down. With that being said Brady was just knocked stupid and might literally shoot within the first 3 seconds out of fear.

Sean Brady

Sean Brady is a high level grappler with technical hands but no chin. He plots forward and throws bombs, and even work in a spinning backfist before shooting takedowns. He's not very dangerous on his feet but is definitely dangerous on the ground. He tends to have cardio issues, but has learned how to rest on top. He averages almost 4 takedowns per fight and is coming off KO loss to Michael Morales

Joaquin Buckley

Joaquin Buckley is a powerful striker with plenty of movement. He has good forward pressure and cuts angles well. We all knew he had power and now we know he can carry that power late into fights. He has done well working takedowns into his arsenal and has plenty of cardio. He is coming off the decision loss to Kamaru Usman where he couldn't keep his back off the canvas.
