This isn't a high level fight, but its definitely a fun one. Both guys will get after it and both are tough. I have a special place in my heart for Zach Reese, not a good one, I hate this dude for getting power bombed by Cody Brundage, but I can respect how tough he is. And that toughness is what will make this fight fun. I expect Ryan to land whatever he wants as often as he wants and while that will fold people, it may not fold Zach. I'm going to pick Ryan here, but this could be a really fun live betting opportunity if Zach survives early.
Ryan Gandra
Ryan Gandra is a busy forward pressure striker who only moves in one direction and lets his hands go. He is very hittable but for every shot he eats, he throws two back your way. If he can get you against the cage he won't look for a takedown and instead will launch punches at your face from his hip. While he prefers to strike, he isn't completely clueless in the grappling department. He can defend takedowns well and if he gets his own he does a great job keep control and still striking. He is coming off the finish win over the typically durable Jose Medina
Zach Reese
Zachary Reese is a massive guy for middleweight at 6'4 and he uses all that size and strength in his fights. He is pretty well rounded but mostly a jiu jitsu nerd who will throw heavy. He can wrestle as well but is a bit inconsistent with when he uses it. On the ground he has great BJJ from top and bottom where he uses his length well to wrap you up but he does get a bit too comfortable at times and can give up minutes playing the jiu jitsu game off his back. He is coming off the back and forth loss to Michel Pereira where he was sloppy, but tough.
