Rob Font vs. David Martinez

FONT VS GARCIA

Rob Font is old and I don't think won his last fight. But even if you agree with me and think he lost Jean Matsumoto, it's hard to deny that he is still one of the better pure strikers in the division. He was able to sneak out that decision because he did create a small cut on Jean's head and even though he was taken down 7 times, he remained calm and kept striking. That veteran composure will do well for him here too. I hate picking a 38 year old with no takedown defense, but David won't look to wrestle unless he losing the striking and at that point, it's too late. Font is the pick, over 2.5 is probably solid here.

Rob Font

Rob Font is a gritty, tough and technical striker. He has a solid chin, but not a ton of power. He is primarily a boxer so he doesn't kick or wrestle often but he doesn't need to because his hands are clean, fast and he works in and out of the pocket before most fighters know what happened. He has fantastic volume at almost 6 significant strikes landed per minute and decent defense being hit by fewer than 4. He is coming off the split decision over Jean Matsumoto where a paper cut early tipped the scales

David Martinez

David Martinez is a very mobile striker. He moves very much like Dominic Cruz where he is constantly moving and changing angles. He does a nice job picking his shots and setting things up. He can be low volume, but because of his movement you almost don't notice. He has great leg kicks to slow down his opponents and solid power when he throws. the movement is incredibly beneficial both offensively and defensively. He is coming off the KO win over Saimon Oliveria in his UFC debut
