Price Point Picks: UFC Baku

Best Draftkings Plays UFC Baku

We are heading back to Baku for our fight night with Fiziev once again being the main attraction here. We have 13 fights with 10 favored to finish inside the distance so overall it’s a pretty damn good card.

For anyone who hasn’t read this article before, this series will be released every week on Thursday and will cover the slate by isolating the fighters that I like within the various salary groups. Plays are subject to change as new information comes out and you can unlock access to the entire suite of DraftKings DFS tools and information with Premium Membership – Click Here To Join – Use code ‘ADP’ for 10% off your first month!

$9,000+ PRICE POINT

Abdul Rahkman Yakhyaev

Walker is not very good, and Abdul averages double the significant strikes per minute at 7.4 and has great wrestling, so this is a fight where I expect a first round finish and him to score 110+.

Daniil Donchenko

Daniil is an exciting fighter who will push the pace and try to kill Theodore in the first two rounds here and I expect we see him get a TKO finish and score 100+

Ikram Aliskerov

Ikram did not look good against Whitaker on short notice when they fought, but he has looked great in basically every other fight in the UFC. Brunno is boom bust and I think Ikram has more paths to victory and better output on the feet, better wrestling, so he is the pick.

$8,000 – $8,900 PRICE POINT

Farman Hasanov

Farman will be looking to find a finish here and he will look to drag Nolan down to the mat, and if he can wrestle heavy that will lead to a big DK score. Easily 120+ upside if he doesn’t gas and chain wrestles.

Javier Reyes

Ofli is meh, and Reyes has a huge reach advantage, almost 5x the significant strikes per minute difference, and will mix in takedowns. I think he will have the advantage on the feet and push his almost 9 significant strikes per minute en route to a win.

Manuel Torres

I love Fiziev, but he is going through murderer’s row lately and Torres is a big powerful guy who averages over 7.25 significant strikes per minute and fighting someone who will stand and trade. We saw Ruffy find a finish last time out against Fiziev, and I think we see Torres find the same.

Under $8,000 PRICE POINT

Michal Oleksiejczuk

If this fight stays standing, Michal will KO Abus. He has to stay on his feet and his elite striking and power will work en route to a finish for him, but if he gets taken down he will have to survive and hope Abus gasses.

Charles Johnson

Striker vs grappler here, and for once I’m going to lean the striker because I think Asu is not overly good and we see Inner G knock him out. 5 inch reach advantage, double the significant strike output, and 70% takedown defense.

Michel Pereira

He has looked awful since Fluffy broke his winning streak and spirit, but I think of any under dogs on this card he has the biggest KO or sub finishing ability, so this is a flyer pick where he loses probably 8/10 times but in the 20% he wins, he scores well.
