I gotta be honest, I am torn here. This does not seem like the obvious spot that the odds are indicating it is. I get that Pitbull is old, but so is is the Korean Superboy. Boy is in his name, but he’s 35. This fight is a battle of the game plans. Can Pitbull hang on the feel long enough to get Superboy comfortable and then work in takedowns? or will Superboy be too mobile, too create and too fast, like Yair was? I genuinely am torn here. I think Superboy’s best days were when he had mandatory military service and he missed his window to be truly great, but i also think that right now at their ages with is mobility, he should be able to stay safe and get the win. This fight is in Vegas so even if Pitbull has some success wrestling, it likely won’t matter that much. Doo Ho Choi is the pick, but I’m not locked in.
Patricio Pitbull
Patricio Pitbull is a phenomenal fighter and for a massive chunk of his career was one of the best fighters on the planet. He was Bellator’s lightweight champion, their featherweight champion and even fought for the bantamweight championship. He is well passed his prime but he’s a solid striker, very good grappler and still has life left in his old legs. He is coming off the decision loss to Aaron Pico where he couldn’t stay off his back.
Doo Ho Choi
Doo Ho Choi is an exciting fighter who has 6 fight of the night bonuses in only 10 UFC fights. Style wise he is a powerful striker with ok takedown defense. He does a great job throwing straight punches and staying active without getting wild. He s very mobile and can get creative on the feet. Since coming back from his mandatory military service, he has rattled off a handful of wins, including his second round KO win over Daniel Santos.
