Patchy Mix might be the most disappointing UFC of all time and if not all time, certainly in recent memory. The is not that he lost, but that he did nothing in that loss. He literally just walked forward with empty pressure and got dotted up. He didn't attempt a single takedown till the fight was far from winnable. Thats a major problem because while i can accept that fighter's lose, I can't accept when fighters don't even try to win. Maybe it was the long layoff, maybe it was the short notice, maybe it was the bright lights of the UFC or maybe he just sucks. Either way, no chance I can bet on this dude. Patchy is a great grappler and will be fighting someone looking to grapple. For that reason I will pick him because I do think he is the better overall grappler and I don't think Jakub's wrestling is good enough to get takedowns at will and ride on top. but for shit sake, don't bet him here, he might be a forever fade.

Patchy Mix

Full disclosure, this Patchy Mix breakdown includes his pre-UFC skills, lets assume that was a one off performance and that he is still a good fighter. Patchy is the former Bellator World Champion who not only won the tournament but also the belt and defended it twice before asking for his release and heading to the UFC. Style wise he is a nasty grappler who will not only get the takedowns but also hunt for submissions. He is long and lean and uses that length to wrap things up. He is coming off the do nothing loss to Mario Bautista where he literally just stood there and embarrassed his entire family.

Jakub Wiklacz

Much like Patchy, Jakub Wiklacz is a nasty grappler. He is a grapple at al costs kind of fighter who rushes forward with chaotic strikes and immediately looks to get the fight to the ground. on the ground he is a relentless finisher. He will take changes and do everything he can to find the submission. He does put himself in harms way like jumping guillotine and rolling for kneebars, but so far taking those chances has worked for him. He's an aggressive guy and fun to watch but we will find out if he is too one dimensional for this level.
