Picking a french to win a fight is always a wild ride. Outside of a few killers like Axel Sola, get the same song and dance. A technical striker who can lose a dog fight. Thats kind of what we have here. Noah will absolutely be the better striker but I do worry that if things aren’t easy, he will just end up like Oumar Sy and the rest of the French that have folded under pressure. Kody is absolutely a dog as we saw it in the RongZhu fight. But he also isn’t the best striker and despite hitting hard, he wears a ton of damage. I’m still going to pick Kody though because I don’t Noah has the cardio to keep a pace and Kody can definitely survive early and take over later.
Noah Gugnon
Noah Gugnon is a fast clean kickboxer who will blast kicks then throw in combination to the head. He stays long in his strikes and will extend to the body then come up to the head. If he is in the clinch he will fire elbows and work trips. He is well rounded and will shoot takedowns but they aren’t the best. he can grapple as well and does a nice job snatching things up in scrambles. He is coming off an almost instant submission win in his UFC debut.
Kody Steele
Kody Steele s a good grappler with big takedowns, chain wrestling and relentless pressure. He does a great job creating scrambles and making stuff happen. His striking is solid as well with good power and volume, but he can be hittable. He is not afraid to get into a war and will maintain a pace. He is coming off his own first round submission win.
