NFL Main Slate Deep Dive: Week 3

NFL Main Slate DFS Week 3

We head into week 3 with some very interesting matchups with teams who seemingly are backs against the wall at 0-2, and we have a ton of injuries to wade through already which is going to make there be a lot of perceived value, it just will come down to who can take advantage of the opportunities.

QUARTERBACKS

Lamar Jackson – $7500 – 10%

I do not like that the field conditions have been talked about being awful for awhile, but he is in line to throw for 240+, has 50 yard rushing upside and can score on the ground also. You do not have to stack him, because his ability to spread it around with Flowers iffy to play makes his chances of using his legs even higher if nobody can get open.

Patrick Mahomes – $6400 – 9%

He looks great to start the season, gets the swiss cheese defense that is Miami who has given up 6 passing TD’s and they have not even really involved Rice yet. I would make sure you stack him with Walker, Kelce, Rice or Worthy, but he is gonna continue to thrive with their old OC back who is an elite schemer at getting their guys open.

Tyler Shough – $5400 – 13%

He is averaging 20 DK points since he took over the job as starter, has a great OC and good weapons to spread it around with Olave, Vele, Johnson, Kamara and Etienne. He also has rushing upside and scored on the ground last week. He will not be low owned anymore this year unfortunately, but the upside for a 4X week from him is there at this price.

RUNNINGBACKS

Kenneth Walker – $7400 – 30%

He has been a monster in this offense averaging 30 DK points, and gets a horrible Miami defense who has given up 5 TDs to running backs to start the season. He may not even have to play in the fourth quarter, but he should get 100+ rushing, 4 catches and at least 1 TD here.

Ashton Jeanty- $7100 – 14%

He is facing the saints who have given up 3 TD’s to RB’s so far this season, and he has receiving upside as well. He goes great in a game stack, and even as a stand alone play he has the 100 yards rushing upside to go along with the ability to catch 5 passes and find the endzone.

Chuba Hubbard – $6100 – 17%

He is the man in this backfield with everyone out, and he has a receiving TD in both games to start the year. You always want high volume plays with your RB’s and he is going to get the volume here to pay off his price tag. Should be looking at  3X week for him.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Jaxon Smith Njigba- $7800 – 10%

He is a machine, Darnold is back and the washington secondary has nobody who can come close to covering him. I do not expect another 3 TD performance, but he should be able to get you a 8-100-1TD stat line at relatively low ownership for how elite he is.

Garrett Wilson – $6300 – 21%

Focal point of their offense against a horrendous detroit secondary, he is going to be popular so do not play him with a ton of other chalk, but he should be in line for a 10+ target game and I think we see a line where he finishes around 7-100 and if he scores he goes almost 4X

Devaughn Vele – $4400 – 14%

He is too cheap still, and in an offense that is fast paced with a QB who is moving the ball around I expect him to pay off this cheap salary, all he needs is what he has averaged so far, 5 catches for 60 yards and if he scores he smashes.

TIGHT END

Trey McBride – $6700 – 9%

Tough matchup, but he is a wr1 at TE and sub 10% ownership means he could win you a big tourney with his 9-90-1td stat line he has averaged to start the year

Dalton Schultz – $4200 – 23%

Chalk for a reason, same situation as last week with no Nico and he had 12 catches for 140 yards last week, and we just saw Kelce piece up this defense last week.

Orange Gadsen – $3500 – 5%

Pivot off Sadiq, he should be the #2 options in the passing game behind Ladd and comes in low owned because most would rather not double stack TE without stacking with their QB.

DST

NYG – $3400 – 3%

30mph winds and rain, against cam ward and a bad titans offense.

CIN – $2900 – 4%

Bengals get a spot where they face a non potent offense and have looked good the last 2 weeks getting sacks and turnovers.

TEN – $2400 – 27%

Same reasons as the Giants. They are chalk bc they are cheap, in bad conditions and get jameis who turns the ball over
