Neil Magny vs. Ramiz Brahimaj Pick, Prediction and Bets

MAGNY VS BRAHIMAJ

We literally just watched Neil Magny get taken down and submitted with ease yet no one is adding 1 and 1 here. 75% of people on Tapology are picking Magny and the book makers have this dead even. I get that Ramiz is submission or bust, so lets just assume submission. Why not? Neil is 40 years old, has basically been submitted in back to back fights, doesn't have the best takedown defense and isn't dangerous. Fight IQ and experience are certainly on the Magny side, but I'm going to size with youth and danger here. Ramiz is the pick and I'm likely too much of a coward to do anything with that.

Neil Magny

Neil Magny is an incredibly well rounded guy and seems to be the UFC's go to when it comes to getting other vets competitive fights or testing prospects. He's pretty tough and very experienced. He is skilled everywhere but mostly a busy striker. He does have very solid grappling as well with an average of more than 2 takedowns per fight. He is 24-13 in the UFC and fought a who's who of the division. He is coming off the submission loss to Yaraslov Amasov.

Ramiz Brahimaj

Ramiz Brahimaj is an accomplished grappler who can get stuck on his back. His striking is improving and when he uses it, he has good power in his hands. All 13 of his wins are by finish with 12 of them being by submission. He is definitely a finish or bust fighter and can fade as fights go on. He is coming off the decision loss to Punahele Soriano where he looked good early, but once a finish was off the table, he had nothing to offer.
