Gaston Bolanos was supposed to fight Jeong Yeong Lee back in March, but Lee had weight issues so that fight was scrapped. When I broke that fight down I had concerns with how long Lee would strike with Gaston because Gaston is a very good striker. I have those same concerns here. Aswell is a tremendous 4-1 favorite and even though he can wrestle, he doesn't wrestle as much as he should. He lost a clear 30-27 in his last fight and his only real success was volume and the takedown. He could have the exact same fight here. Now Bolanos is more power than volume and while he is dangerous he isn't insanely technical or fast, so I will pick Aswell. but there is a less than 0% chance we can get on him at -380.

Michael Aswell Jr.

Michael Aswell is a forward pressure striker who always has a jab out there. He is tough as nails and literally doesn't stop moving forward. His striking defense isn't what you would want it to be, but his offense is so intense, that it doesn't matter. He can grapple as well but its never his plan A. He's a tough guy who stays busy and will make his opponents work. He is coming off the better than expected loss to Luke Riley where he landed more total strikes and had a takedown

Gaston Bolanos is a solid striker with a solid Muay Thai background. He has good power and a willingness to engage. He does have some grappling holes that can be exploited but you'll need to get through his guard before you can work your takedowns. He is coming off the submission loss to Quang Le where he couldn't defend the takedowns.
