Michael Chandler is never in a boring fight and technically he is always live for a win. He has random power, great cardio and was an incredible college wrestler. But he's stupid. Now I don't think he's actually stupid, but inside the octagon, he's Corky from Life Goes On. He makes shit decisions and doesn't do anything to put himself in a position to win. He goes out there and looks to entertain. Frankly, we should all appreciate him for that. He's never Pat Sabatining his way to a win, he is always out there, throwing as hard as he can and doing crazy shit for our entertainment. Anyway, he loses this fight. You can't do stupid shit with someone like Mauricio. He is too fast, too accurate, too dangerous, too creative, just too good. Chandler is a pretty durable dude, but I am not sure he makes it to the scorecards here. Of course he would work the BSD gameplan and wrestle, but he won't, because he would rather entertain. So thank you to Michael for no only the entertainment, but also they pay day on the other side.
Mauricio Ruffy
Mauricio Ruffy is a nasty striker with big fight ending power. He has 13 wins with 12 stoppages. He will throw heavy 1-2s and look for power. He isn't just a traditional striker though, he will launch kicks up the middle, he will throw spinning techniques, he will even attempt scissor takedowns. We have seen him carry power to the 3rd round which is nice because Chandler is durable. We have also seen him completely frozen by takedown attempts and then useless on the ground. Since then though we watched him completely dismantle Rafael Fiziev with a second round KO.
Michael Chandler
Michael Chandler is an accomplished wrestler. He is a 4x NCAA qualifier and a D1 all american. The problem is, you wouldn't really know that by watching his recent UFC fights. He has tons of power and solid pressure. He has no kicks but is always fun. He is at a point in his career where he fights for bonuses and not championships. He is coming off the TKO loss to Paddy Pimblett where despite having 4 takedowns, Paddy was able to get him to the ground and find the TKO
