Marvin Vettori vs. Brunno Ferreira

VETTORI VS FERREIRA

Marvin Vettori is on an unfortunate 3 fight skid, but they have literally been to some of the best middleweights on the planet. This is a major step down in competition and I have to assume that it will be evident in the cage. Bruno is dangerous, but that doesn't matter because Marvin is literally the most durable middleweight we have ever seen. Kelvin Gastelum is jealous of Marvin's chin, so I don't see Marvin getting KO'd on the feet and he has good enough grappling to stay safe on the ground. Being durable isn't typically a reason to pick someone to win a fight, but when your opponent only has 1 round of cardio, its a pretty big thing to ignore. Marvin should win, Marvin is the pick, but if he loses here, he may need to be cut.

Marvin Vettori

Marvin Vetori is a grappler at his core but has developed striking over time. He has a good set of diverse takedowns from body locks to nice hit and run doubles. His striking continues to improve and he's gotten very comfortable on his feet. Even when he isn't comfortable, he's fine, because his head is made of the same thing they make crowbars out of. He has a positive striking differential, averages almost 2 takedowns per fight and has a 69% takedown defense. He is coming off his 3rd loss in a row, this time to Brendan Allen

Brunno Ferreira

Bruno Ferreira is a very powerful striker who is light on his feet and constantly mixing up his attacks. He bounces on his toes which really helps him come in and out of the pocket well. He can grapple as well with high level judo, powerful takedowns and slick, BJJ, but he is definitely a striker and only uses his grappling if he is in trouble or his opponents initiate it. He is coming off the submission win over Jackson McVey
