Unfortunately for Jai his claim to fame will be the one time he almost knocked out Ilia Topuria but ended up getting knocked out himself. It's a shame because he is a decent fighter with solid skills but his own hesitation has lost him more than one fight. Getting Ko'd by Ilia is nothing to hang your head about and could even be a badge of honor, but losing to Padilla because you didn't throw and going to a draw with Klein because a point was deducted are both well within your control. If he comes in here as hesitant as he was in his last fight, I just don't see him winning. Mandel has incredible kicks and great counter striking. I see Mandel controlling the striking and getting the win. Even if he tries to wrestle like be did vs. Bedoya, Mandel works entirely too much to be held down. My only real concern here is Mandel's 100% finish rate and what happens if this goes long.
Mandel Nallo
Mandel Nallo is a solid counter striker with good power and a wide variety. He has great kicks and stays long. He will chew your legs up to limit your motion then come up top to your head. He can wrestle when he needs to and has slick BJJ on top. He is insanely dangerous and has a 100% finish rate split pretty evenly across both KOs and submissions. His takedown defense is ok and if he is taken down he immediately works up and creates scrambles.
Jai Herbert
Jai Herbert is a technical striker who likes to keep the fight at range. He has a ton of movement and his feet are never planted for more than half a second. He is always cutting angles, fainting and moving from side to side. He can be a bit low volume and does have a negative striking differential. His takedown defense is decent but he has been taken down by some of the better fighters in the division. He is coming off the close loss to Chris Padilla where he was light on his feet, moved forward but didn't actually do much.
