Most people picking against Pico here are immediately going to cite his 4 losses. The reality is that only 3 of them are real and he was just pushed too much, too soon. at 28 years old he is 10x the fighter he was when he lost back in 2019. Lerone is extremely technical on the feet and can certainly have success striking, but I do think Pico's wrestling will be way too much here. I like Pico to get it done and i'm looking forward t some juice in the division.
Lerone Murphy
Lerone Murphy is a very good striker who moves incredibly well. He will light up your body then step completely out of the pocket and move away. His footwork is very good and he is sneaky dangerous on his feet. His takedown defense is listed at 52%, but he does really well scrambling back up. He is coming off the back and forth win over Josh Emmett where he was taken down 4 times, but defended 7
Aaron Pico
Aaron Pico is one of the more hyped prospects signed by the UFC. He was originally supposed to make his UFC debut against Movsar Evloev at UFC Abu Dhabi, but here he is in the co-main event of one of the bigger PPVs of the year. You may not have heard of Aaron, but thats not because of his skills, thats because Bellator's marketing sucks. Aaron Pico is a nasty wrestler who has great boxing. Credential wise he made his way to the finals of the olympic trials where he lost a razor thin match. He has Golden Gloves boxing experience as well and has trained at a high level.
