This has to be Larry Lui because while the striking gap will be wide, the wrestling gap will be wider and as we always say, the wrestler is the one who can control where the fight goes. Being a nasty striker doesn't matter if you cant keep the fight on the feet and I don't think Hector can keep the fight on the feet. Obviously Larry will have to eat a shot or two to even get into takedown range, but we have seen toughness from him before and I expect him to be fine here.
Lawrence Lui
Lawrence Lui is a gritty grappler who can take a beating. He has a very vertical stance where he lets his jab hand do all the work. He throws constant jabs and lead hooks, he will even toss out a lead uppercut. He does have some power which can be highlighted on the regional scene, but his real asset is his terminator-esque durability and forward movement. He's not great, but he has tons of pressure and non-stop wrestling. He is coming off a decision to win the road to the ufc tournament.
Hector Santiago
Hector Santiago is the latest professional kickboxer to make his way to MMA, and like the others before him, he is a nasty striker with some grappling holes. He loves moving forward to back you up and set up the big right hand. He has plenty of pressure and power but not as defensively sound as you would expect a professional kickboxer to be, but he is tough and even if he is dropped, he pops up and gets right back at it.
