15% of people are picking Trevor Peek here and I have to imagine those people are doing a simple 1+1 = 2 formula. Trevor can knock people out and Kurtis was just knocked out. But if you are only looking at the result and not watching the actual fight, you definitely missed a few things from Kurtis. He won the first round against Danny Silva and he was able to get takedowns. Not to mention the fact that Trevor Peek is absolutely horrendous. He’s the toughest guy in his town, but he never learned any actual fighting skills. Literally everything he does is wrong, but he does have all the intangibles and will never quit. Even though Kurtis is a bit of a creature to look at, he has skills and I think he uses them here. Kurtis is going to be the pick and I am not very worried about it.
Kurtis Campbell
Kurtis Campbell is an agressibe grappler with big takedowns and fantastic BJJ. He will do everythign from blast doubles to body locks and isn’t afraid to engage. He has striking as well with solid clinch knees but his punches are very loopy on the feet. Overall hes got very good wrestling with great variety in his takedowns and very good BJJ to keep you on the ground and potentially finish you. He is ocming off that KO loss to Danny Silva in his UFC debut
Trevor Peek
Trevor Peek is returning after a 2 year layoff that was hopefully spent in the mountains of Dagastan. He is a high pressure fighter who only knows one pace. He keeps his hands open and literally just starts winging punches while charging forward. If he is close, he will grab your legs and try to take you down, if he is at distance, he will move in all directions and try to work in. He borderline has zero skills whatsoever, but his high pressure, take one to give one style can break people. He is coming off the decision loss to Yanal Ashmouz where he basically only threw overhands.
