This is definitely a test for Lerryan to see how good he actually is and I think he passes this test. Julian is certainly a very well experienced guy and a tough outing for most, but as far as actual skills and technique go, Lerryan should be cleaner, faster and far less hittable than the borderline human punching bag that Julian has become. As long as Lerryan doesn't wilt to Julian's pressure, which i don't think he will, then he takes this. The line felt wide, but I get it.

Julian Erosa

Julian Erosa is a long guy for the weight class and he uses his length really well both on his feet and on the ground. He is very well rounded with high output striking at more than 6 significant strikes per minute but unfortunately still has a negative striking differently. He has solid wrestling with 17 takedowns in his UFC career and an average at almost 2 per fight. He is dangerous everywhere and an absolute dog but he is aging and a bit sloppy. He is coming off the decision loss to Melk Costa where he worked in the offensive takedowns, but lagged in the striking.

Lerryan Douglas

Lerryan Douglas is a very well rounded guy and one of the better Contender Series prospects as of late. He has powerful striking and solid takedowns. His strikign is very diverse where he can manage range with leg kicks, then explode in the pocket with hooks and uppercuts. His takedowns are not desperate and he will lower his level to shoot instead of clinching and dragging. The power is real, the technique is real and the hype is seemingly real as well.
