Picking JJ Aldrich fights are a literal nightmare. She beats the people she should lose to and loses to the people she should beat. She is wildly inconsistent and cannot be trusted with old fashioned American dollars. JJ is just good enough to play spoiler here. Defend a few takedowns, sneak in one of her own, land a few shots… But she’s also not the better fighter in my opinion. I think Regina has solid striking, great volume and certainly a large grappling advantage. So Regina is the pick because i do think her pressure and pace will be too much, but JJ just literally stole a decision she shouldn’t have so can’t bet here.
JJ Aldrich
JJ Aldrich is a decent striker with good takedowns and solid top pressure. She fights well within her skillset and doesn’t take risks. She is primarily a striker but she does have a negative striking differential and relies on volume to squeak out wins. She’s dangerous nowhere but decent everywhere. She is coming off the bad decision win over Jamey-Lyn Horth where she landed few strikes and had all of her takedown attempts stuffed.
Regina Tarin
Regina Tarin is an extremely young prospect who is long and lean but doesn’t use those assets to strike, she wants to come forward, drag you to the ground and work in a submission. Her striking is solid as well but more often than not, she is closing the distance and looking for takedowns. She doesn’t have traditional takedowns and mostly looks for body locks and trips. She is young, improving quickly, and showcased her striking in her short notice UFC debut over Ernesta Karatekake
