Jean is very good and has a ton of potential, I personally still think he beat Rob Font which would make him undefeated. My only real issue with his fight style is how lacking he is defensively both with the striking and the wrestling. He has been taken down by basically everyone who tried and while Vegas doesn't care about wrestling, I think Farid could potentially out strike him too. The karate style and distance management could have Jean swinging at air, then shooting, then being reversed and taken down himself. i am going to pick Farid here because he is a little cleaner everywhere and will have the wrestling if he needs it.
Jean Matsumoto
Jean Matsumoto is a well rounded kid with black belts and accolades in multiple martial arts. He can initiate offensive takedowns while staying a busy striker. If he is taken down and ends up on bottom, he stays busy and makes you work. He is a creative striker with a variety of kicks and counters. He does get hit though but is plenty tough and has plenty of cardio to push through. He is coming off the close win to Miles Johns where the offense was clean but the defense needed work.
Farid Basharat
Farid Basharat is a well rounded wrestler with solid striking. He has a very loose stance where he bounces on his toes and throws a lot of kicks. He is very mobile and constantly working side to side. He has the wide Tae Kwon Do stance that helps him move well and stay defensively sound. He is a great wrestler as well who averages almost 4 takedowns per fight. He is coming off the straight forward win over Chris Gutierrez where he had a couple of takedowns and cleaner striking.
