People are going to see Jan's age, his recent record and jump to a Bogdan pick. The issue with those deductive reasoning methods is that jan's losses are to very good people. He had a draw with Anakalaev, then lost a split to Alex then just lost a questionable decision to the light heavyweight with the longest active win streak. Bogdan is young, hits hard and a gamer, but he is absolute not the better fighter. Don't get me wrong, youth may be enough, but Bogdan's takedown defense might be exposed here. I am going to pick Jan, but relying on a 42 year old light heavyweight to hit parlays, is a poor financial decision. So don't do it.
Jan Blachowicz
Jan Blachowicz is the former Light Heavyweight Champion of the world who has had a rocky couple of fights since then. Jan is a striker who hits incredibly hard and has solid wrestling, we don't see the wrestling often but we did see it against Prime Izzy and Alex Pereira. He is a well rounded guy with a world of experience. He is 12-8-1 in the UFC with wins over Jared Cannonier, Jacare Souza, Luke Rockhold and Izzy Adesanya. He is coming off the close loss to Carlos Ulberg where you could argue his early leg kicks and volume were enough to get the win.
Bogdan Guskov
Bogdan Guskov is a heavy handed guy who likes to come forward, throws big and mixes things up. When he's striking he can be fast and dos have some very real power. He keeps his hands low but has decent footwork and nice combinations. If he doesn't get the early KO or have enough success striking, he will work you to the cage and get a takedown. On top he has patience and control. He is coming off the KO win over Nikita Krylov where a monster right got it done.
