This wouldn't be the first time that Neil Magny defied the odds and won in spectacular fashion a a dog. He did it a little over a year ago against Mike Malott and then again a little over a month ago against Zaleski. The good news for gamblers though is that Jake Matthews is far more reliable than either one of them and should have a pretty straight forward win whether he chooses to strike or grapple.

Jake Mathews is a well rounded guy withs solid wrestling, very good grappling and a nice variety of strikes. He works angles well and has no problem mixing up body shots and head shots. He averages a little more than 1 takedown per fight. He has a solid striking differential at 3-2 and very real power in his hands. He is coming off the back climbing win over Chidi Njokuani

Neil Magny is an incredibly well rounded guy and seems to be the UFC's go to when it comes to getting other vets competitive fights or testing prospects. He's pretty tough and very experienced. He is skilled everywhere but mostly a busy striker. He does have very solid grappling as well with an average of more than 2 takedowns per fight. He is 23-12 in the UFC and fought a who's who of the division. He is coming off the KO win over fellow old Elizeu Zaleski
