I get that people hate Jailton because he was boring in his last fight and mostly just wrestles, but to pretend he cant dominate this or basically any other fight at heavyweight is ridiculous. He dominated Volkov with 7 takedowns and 11 minutes of control time. Before you say “can't win fights by hugging” let me remind you that Volkov landed 24 significant strikes to Jailton's 9. So while most of you will randomly hate one of the best wrestling heavyweights we have ever seen, I will pick him with confidence. Big ass guy in a little Apex cage will get whatever takedowns he wants. -220 is a discount
Jailton Almeida
Jailton Almeida is a wrestling beast. His striking technique kinda sucks, but there is random power in there. All but one of his wins are by stoppage and thats because of his nonstop pressure. He will come in hot, and relentlessly work for takedowns. Once he is on the ground he typically will chase submissions. He has only been to two decision in the UFC and even those were dominant showcases. He is coming off what I consider a robbery to Alexander Volkov
Rizvan Kuniev
Rizvan Kuniev is a former steroid user who is now clean which is apparent in his love handles. Juice or no juice, he is going to fight the same way, throw wild to close distance and grapple. He has decent leg kicks, but also likes winging punches. When he closes distance he looks to grind you to the cage and work you to the ground. On top he has solid control. He is coming off the split decision loss to Curtis Blaydes where he has solid defense, decent offensive striking and arguably could've won
