Jackson McVey vs. Wes Schultz Pick, Prediction and Bets

MCVEY VS SCHULTZ

This is like a violent Pert Plus commercial but instead of leaving with silky hair that smells like coconuts you you'll have another mans blood all over your face. Jackson McVey is the much larger of the two and absolutely the better striker of the two, but he kinda stinks and can't defend takedowns. As long as Wes Schultz comes in here as the All-American wrestler and not the butt scooting guard puller like he did against Pinas, he can have a ton of success – the exact same success Zach Reese had. I'm going to side with the wrestler here, the striking doesn't matter if you can't keep the fight standing so I am going with the underdog.

Jackson McVey

Jackson McVey is a big guy at 6'4 and has no problem getting after it. He uses teap kicks to manage range and a busy jab to keep you backing up. He is light on his toes and has solid footwork over all. He has submissions as well and uses his length to snatch things up but his takedown defense stinks. He is coming off his first UFC win which was a submission over SD Dumas.

Wes Schultz

Wes Schultz is a credentialed wrestler who made the leap to MMA about 5 years ago. He was 47-0 in high school, then an all American in JUCO then a D3 all American. You can see those wrestling accomplishments in most of his fight. He moves forward and works in takedowns. On top he has good control and stays busy. But like so many other dominant wrestlers, his striking is almost non-existent so if he can't win the wrestling exchanges, he isn't winning the fight. He is coming off submission win over Ben Johnston
