Grant Dawson is objectively the most boring fighter on the UFC roster. People love to complain about women's fights and Dagastani's but I'd rather jerk off with sand paper than watch an entire Grant Dawson fight. When his walkout starts, use that time to call your mother because you know you will have a full 15 minutes of absolutely nothing going on, might as well check in on mama bear back home. The problem is, this bastard keeps winning, and as long as he keeps winning, we are stuck watching him. Manuel certainly has the ability to put us out of our misery here with dangerous striking and slick submissions, but unfortunately, Grant is too well trained to get caught with something on the ground and too smart to experiment with his striking. Grant wins, Grant has 13 minutes of control time and Grant's round line over is as stable as a lady fight.
Grant Dawson
Grant Dawson is a grappler who averages almost 4 takedowns per fight. He has a great ground game with absolutely relentless pressure. His striking is not very good, genuinely bad at times, so his clear advantage in almost all of his fights is his wrestling and grappling. His pressure and willingness to be a crotch sniffing wrestler has has afforded him quite a bit of success in the UFC. He is coming off the decision win over Diego Ferreira where landed the most amount of strikes in his UFC career and STILL had 6 takedowns with 11 minutes of control.
Manuel Torres
Manuel Torres is a well rounded guy who has dangerous striking and dangerous grappling. His striking isn't technical but he uses his knees from the clinch really well and loves throwing head and legs kicks. He is long and skinny and he really does a great job working with that – his submission are long limb style submissions with triangles, power guillotines anything that uses leverage. Same logic with his clinch work. He is coming off the KO win over the typically durable Drew Dober.
