You may have noticed that when i broke down Giga I spoke in past tense and thats not because he personally is 6 feet under, but his career certainly is. He only has 1 win in the last 4.5 years that is over Alex Caceras who is no longer in the UFC. Giga is 38, slowing down and has lost his chin. I do not see Joanderson losing here. He can swing wild or wrestle and have success doing either. He is -340 and that thats likely a discount compared to where he will be come fight night – if Giga doesn’t pull out by then.
Giga Chikadze
Giga Chikadze was a very good striker with a solid jab and fantastic kicks. He did an incredible job managing range and used his kicks to do so. The kicks kept you at distance and then he came firing in with his hands. He wasn’t a high volume guy only landing around 4 signifigant strikes per minute but he did a nice job of keeping his opponents volume low as well. He is coming off his 3rd loss in a row, this time a KO to Kevin Valleojos
Joanderson Brito
Joanderson Brito is a fast and athletic grappler with solid top pressure and a wide array of submissions. His striking isn’t very technical but he will come forward and throw bombs. Big wide punches and heavy kicks with almost no regard for what comes back his way. But even though he is comfortable striking, he will look to get it to the ground and work from there. He averages more than 3 takedowns per fight but he can be taken down if you pressure him. He is coming off the submission win over Jordan Leavitt
